A cataract is an opacification of the lens of the eye which leads to a decrease in vision.
This process can start slowly and cover the entire lens of the eye. In such cases, the eyesight gradually decreases, creating the feeling of looking through a misted glass. In some people, it can also occur suddenly. Cataracts, which are especially suffered by people over the age of 40, are also seen in infants, young and middle-aged people.
